Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Happy St. (almost) Patrick’s Day, everyone! The luckiest holiday of them all will be upon us this Sunday, March 17th.

We here at the girl & the fig are known for our passion for all things French, but that doesn’t mean we don’t love a good reason to acknowledge and celebrate all of our wonderful friends of Irish descent!

Today we spotlight one of our lovely (and Irish!) General Managers at the girl & the fig, Kim McArdle.

How long have you worked at the fig, and what is your favorite part about working here?

I have worked here for 8 years now, I actually started the day before St. Patrick’s Day! My favorite part about the girl & the fig is the people here.

What is your favorite entree at the fig?

That’s a tough one. I’d say the Duck Confit.

What is your favorite dessert at the fig?

Chocolate & Salted Fig Caramel Trifle.

What is your favorite Rhône wine varietal?

Grenache.

What is a fun fact people wouldn't know about you?

I love art history, and geek out over Antique Roadshow! I also love to thrift shop.

How will you celebrate St. Patrick’s Day this year?

I will be working brunch at the fig, and will have my Shamrock on, because that’s what Irish people do on St. Patrick’s Day!
