Explore local art

Sonoma County Art Trails opens for two weekends in October: 10/12-/10/13 and 10/19-/10/20. Speak with the artists, step into their creative spaces, learn about the inspiration behind their work, and maybe even fall in love with a piece to take home!



Stargaze at the Robert Ferguson Observatory

Stop in to the Star Party on October 26th at Robert Ferguson Observatory in Kenwood, when the observatory is open to the public for daytime and nighttime experiences. Safely view the sun with solar telescopes, or come by at night to hear presentations, view the stars through one of the three main telescopes, and ask the experts any questions you may have while gazing into the galaxy.



Fall into autumn

Get in the spirit of the season at the Tolay Fall Festival, perfect for guests of all ages to enjoy fall themed activities, historical and educational exhibits, local food vendors, and of course, a sprawling pumpkin patch. Running 10/12-/10/13 and 10/19-/10/20.



Enjoy the local harvest bounty

Restaurants across the county take advantage of the fresh fall foods that abound this time of year, from apples, artichokes, brussels sprouts to squash and more! Explore farmer’s markets for fresh ingredients to use at home. Stop in to the girl & the fig for a fresh fig flight, where you will sample different varieties of figs, all sourced from neighbors in Sonoma!


Spend a weekend at a farm

Participate in Weekend Along the Farm Trails, October 12th-Oct 13th, and explore farms, meet farmers, learn about practices, sample food, and more, all from local participating farms and wineries. Most stops are free! Register on their website to save your spot and learn more.



Attend a Masquerade Ball

Celebrate the anniversary of the Count of Buena Vista’s first formal vintage celebration with dancing, nibbling, and sipping Buena Vista wines, all while donning a festive themed costume, and of course, your best mask!
