Sonoma Boasts a Host of New Year's Festivities!

If this year's New Year's Eve has you at home rather than watching the ball drop at Times Square, fear not! There is a host of celebratory offerings right here in our backyard for you to ring in the New Year with style.

Begin your New Year's Eve festivities with us at the fig! While the girl & the fig will be serving our regular menu (you'll love this week's Plats du Jour), we are dishing up a special New Year's Eve menu at the fig cafe & wine bar in Glen Ellen. The enticing offerings include Parmesan Gourgere, Bacon & Cauliflower Bisque, Smoked Short Rib Risotto and Chocolate Terrine. Who doesn't like to ring in their New Year with a champagne toast?! Recently named one of the 25 Best Wine Bars in the US by Travel and Leisure, SIGH will be hosting a champagne toast featuring Moët & Chandon and Veuve Cliquot. If you desire some accouterments to your bubbles, Ramekins Culinary School is hosting Pop! Fizz! Clink! The event is a "Hollywood-themed" party with guests encouraged to get glamorous and enjoy an evening featuring beer, wine, a midnight champagne toast and DJ French Disconnection spinning the hits. The event runs 8pm to 1am with tickets at $125.

If live music is more your style, Sonoma has some options for you. HopMonk Tavern will play host to Northern California Americana roots act Misner & Smith. The duo delivers songs crafted of rich storytelling, chilling harmonies and dynamic arrangements for a foot-stomping good time. The show is free and runs 9pm to 12am. If something a little more funky is more your flavor, Starling Bar has just what you're looking for. The local hang will feature San Francisco-based The Afrofunk Experience. The 8-piece outfit plays a blend of funk, soul, r&b and Afrobeat and was recently named "Best International Act" by the SF Weekly's Annual Music Awards. The performance begins at 9:30pm and will carry into the new year.
