the girl & the fig CATERS!: Early Fall Wedding Inspirations
Early fall is one of the most beautiful times for a wedding in Wine Country. The weather is warm, but not too hot, with longer days and shorter nights. Plus, early September marks the beginning of harvest season, which is a beautiful time in Sonoma where the vineyard leaves turn gold and red. At the girl & the fig CATERS!, these details of Sonoma County's seasonality inspire the menus we create.
If you're getting ready to tie the knot this fall, it's likely that you're already elbow-deep in planning. There's the menu, the cake, the dessert table, the dress, the flowers, the venue...so many details! Between it all there are many choices to make. Here are some photos from past Wine Country weddings we've been a part of to help inspire you.
Menu
Our menus our curated by season! We work with you from our seasonal menus to help you choose the perfect dishes to fit in with the fall season.
Fall Color Scheme
We're reminded of the fall season by the golden and red leaves in Sonoma. These colors in nature itself are great choices to be inspired by when choosing the color scheme for your wedding day.
The Dress
Long-sleeved wedding dresses and the fall season were sort of meant to be together! The look of sleeves on a wedding dress really fits the feel of the season well.
The Venue
Though fall in Sonoma is usually very mild, having your reception indoors is never a bad idea. There are venues available where you can say your vows outdoors, and enjoy your time afterwards with loved ones indoors.
Small Details
Just in case it gets chilly! A grab-box of blankets for guests is always a smart idea.
The Cake
We absolutely adore this succulent-topped cake created by our very own Crisp Bakeshop, with greenery from The Flower House.
