venue highlight: Viansa Sonoma

Viansa Sonoma can be found at the summit of the Sonoma Valley. Some may not know that the family history behind Viansa intertwines with the Sebastiani family. In 1904, Samuele Sebastiani emigrated to the United States from Tuscany, where he worked in San Francisco making cobblestones. He was able to save enough money to purchase the land that would later become Sebastiani Vineyards.

In 1989, Samuele Sebastiani's grandson decided to create a winery of his own, which became Viansa Sonoma. Today, Viansa is owned by Vintage Wine Estates. Viansa is "committed to producing wines of true excellence while continuing the tradition of land stewardship and winemaking that defines the Sonoma Valley."

Viansa offers stunning views of the Sonoma Valley, hills, and vineyards from one of two hilltop lawn ceremony points available. In addition, the rustic indoor pavilion serves as the perfect reception space. In total, Viansa can accommodate up to 400 guests outside, and 200 guests inside the pavilion. Viansa's website offers a virtual tour of the venue which is very useful. You can click here to access it.

In addition to a breathtaking venue space, Viansa also includes several other amenities. These include three various bar options, an on-site kitchen, lighting, and a special VIP wine tasting to help you make your very important day-of selections.

And, why are weddings in Wine Country the best? Besides the wine of course, venues like Viansa receive breathtaking vantage points of our beautiful Sonoma sunsets, like this gorgeous one from Claire & Ryan's wedding day just a few weeks ago.
