cruising sonoma: 4th of July in the Plaza

The Sonoma Plaza's 4th of July celebration is one of the best in the country! (In fact, it was named 8th best in 2014 by Travel + Leisure Magazine.) This year's theme for the celebration is "Honoring Our Local Heroes".

One thing that makes Sonoma's 4th of July celebration so great is that it is a party from dawn until dusk. It all begins with a parade at 10am including 60+ floats that make their way around the Sonoma Plaza. Following the parade the celebration moves into the Plaza with food, wine, beer, and games. Lastly at dusk, there is a spectacular fireworks show above General Vallejo's field that lasts about 45 minutes.

From 10:00am to 4:00pm, the fig rig will be at the festivities serving up all of your favorites! Our menu for the day will include:

• Wings with Slaw

• Fried Green Tomato BLT

• Pulled Pork Sandwich

• Fig & Arugula Salad

• French Fries

• Blue Cheese Fries
