"Every time you open a bottle of champagne, it's a celebration, so there's no better way of starting a celebration than opening a bottle of champagne."
-David Levithan
This Week: Pol Roger, 2006 Vintage Brut, Champagne, France
Pol Roger - Fun Facts:
Pol Roger has an extensive history, with over 160 years in the industry spanned across five generations!
Pol Roger, founder of the brand, made his first sale of wine in January 1849.
In 1900, the company lost over 1.5 million bottles when part of the cellars and buildings collapsed.
Winston Churchill, who was a big fan of the firm at the time, declared Pol Roger to be "the most delightful address in the world".
Pol Roger is a favorite among the British Royal Family.
