Wine Wednesday: Hearst Ranch Winery, 2015 White Wine, Paso Robles
"Wine is the noblest embodiment of the spirit of nature."
-Friedrich Hebbel
This Week: Hearst Ranch Winery, 2015 White Wine
About Heart Ranch Winery:
In the 19th century, William Randolph Hearst entered the publishing business in San Francisco, and went on to build one of the nation's largest newspaper chains and media companies, Hearst Communications. Later generations of the Hearst family continued on with a legacy in the beef and cattle industry.
In 2010, Steve Hearst, the great-grandson of Willam Randolph Hearst, founded Hearst Ranch Winery with friend Jim Saunders. Together, they share a vision for sustainable agriculture, resource protection, and historical preservation.
Tasting Notes:
This white wine features Grenache Blanc, Viognier, Rousanne, and Picpoul Blanc. It has floral aromatics, and flavors of pineapple and pear, with notes of almond and honey.
Pairings:
At the girl & the fig we’d recommend pairing Hearst Ranch Winery, 2015 White Wine with our Seared Scallops (corn cake, bacon vinaigrette, garden basil, baby kale) or Mary's Half Chicken (garden succotash, fresh garbanzo beans, braised tomato vinaigrette)
At home try it with shellfish or grilled chicken.
Cheers!
