‘Tis the season! Harvest season, that is!
Sonoma County’s “crush” takes place primarily during September and October. During these months, wineries all over Sonoma host events and celebrations that allow you to participate in their wine-making process, as well as taste delicious wines-in-progress!
Here is a list of five not-to-miss “crush” events of the 2017 season!
September 22nd - September 24th
Since 1897 the Valley of the Moon Vintage Festival has celebrated Sonoma’s wine, food, culture and heritage. California’s oldest festival, this tradition takes place the end of September in downtown Sonoma’s historic plaza. The Valley of the Moon Vintage Festival benefits many Sonoma non-profit organizations and community projects.
Saturday, September 30th
Join us for our annual Oktoberfest harvest celebration September 30th! We will have live music and authentic German food served in the party tent overlooking the vineyards of Carneros. We will pay homage to Walter's German roots by serving Federweisser (newly fermenting white wine from the barrel), Zwiebelkuchen (traditional German onion tart) various German dishes and current release Carneros wines.
October 6th - 8th
In 2017, the Harvest Fair will mark it’s 43rd year of showcasing our county’s grand harvest which continues to result in world-class wines, award winning beer and a plethora of culinary wealth. In 2015, with over 26,000 votes, the Harvest Fair was voted the Best Annual Festival of Sonoma County bestowed by The Press Democrat readers. Each October, thirsty travelers from across the entire US, are beckoned to Santa Rosa to participate in a complete farm to table experience, inspired by the county’s hard working farmers, ranchers, vintners and producers.

Join us for the annual Harvest Festival at Landmark Vineyards. Celebrate the bounty of Harvest as you taste through current releases paired with the finest fare from local vendors.
Sunday, October 22nd
Pinot On The River is a fun filled weekend of Pinot Noir, in the beautiful Russian River Valley town of Healdsburg, California. Sit with the winemakers and other Pinot-loving consumers as we focus on limited production West Coast Pinot Noirs. Join us for Sunday's Pinot Noir Grand Tasting, with over 100 wineries plus guest Artisan Food Vendors all on the downtown Healdsburg Plaza Square.It's a Sonoma County wine weekend you won't want to miss!
