The beginning of the summer season is finally upon us. It's that time of the year when the days get longer and warmer. And, there's no better way to spend your warm summer weekends than at local festivals with family and friends! Here's a round-up of our favorite summer food & wine festivals for you to explore this summer, right here in Sonoma County.
7/22: Rivertown Revival
Steamer Landing Park - Petaluma
Once again Friends of the Petaluma River are hosting the Rivertown Revival; A festival that celebrates Petaluma, the community and the Petaluma river. There will be music, art boat races, delicious local food, beer, creative vendors, a large play area for kids and kids at heart, interactive art and more.
7/27: Monte Rio Variety Show
Various Locations - Sonoma
In its 106th year, this community show includes a special evening of music, comedy, theater, wine, BBQ, beer, and dessert. Proceeds benefit local charities in the community.
7/29: Fort Ross Festival
Fort Ross State Historic Park - Jenner
Celebrate summer at the annual Fort Ross Festival, with fun activities including live music, hands-on crafts, a Lagunitas beer garden, and great food from the International Food Bazaar, which will feature a variety of local food vendors.
8/5: Petaluma Music Festival
Sonoma-Marin Fairgrounds - Petaluma
In its 10th year, this music festival includes a lineup of 14 different bands across 4 stages. Plus, enjoy food, wine, and Lagunitas beer, as well as shopping merchandise from local vendors and artist meet-and-greets. All proceeds benefit music education programs in Petaluma public schools.
8/12 - 8/13: Gravenstein Apple Fair
Ragle Ranch Park - Sebastopol
Hosted by Sonoma County Farm Trails, this fair is regarded as "the sweetest little fair in Sonoma County". Enjoy live music across two stages, food, cooking demonstrations from local chefs, arts and crafts, a petting zoo, pony rides, and more. Plus, purchase tickets to enjoy the artisan tasting lounge, wine flights from Jackson Family Wines, the craft cider tent, the microbrew tent, and the wine tent.
9/2-9/3: Sonoma Wine Country Weekend: Taste of Sonoma
Green Music Center, Sonoma State - Rohnert Park
Immerse yourself in the food and wine culture of Sonoma County during Taste of Sonoma at the world-class Donald and Maureen Green Music Center on the Sonoma State University campus. Sip and savor the very best of Sonoma County’s rich wines and delectable cuisine. More than 200 wineries will pour thousands of wines, and over 60 local chefs whip up divine pairings.

Cornerstone - Sonoma
Join the girl & the fig at Edible's Sonoma Good Spirits, in the beautiful gardens at Cornerstone Sonoma! Spend the day meeting local chefs and craft spirit distillers, and enjoy cocktail and food pairings from some of California's most acclaimed chefs, food artisans, and distilleries.
